US Barrel is a family owned and operated cooperage hand crafting a wide range of products for the distilled spirits and brewing industries. Located in the quaint village of Wilmington in New York’s Adirondack Mountains, we’re on the banks of the world famous AuSable River and near the base of Whiteface Mountain, site of the 1980 Winter Olympic Games Alpine Events.
Founded in 2004 as a softwood slack barrel cooperage, US Barrel is well versed in all disciplines of coopering producing many unique items including charred American White Oak whiskey aging barrels, open top Oak fermentation tanks, beer barrels, beer samplers, bespoke cooperage dispensing barrels, special release neck tags, barrel based promotional items and extremely large Northern White Cedar barrels for sauna use.
Located on the edge of the Northern Boreal Forest, we have unprecedented access to a diverse set of premium woods and are unique in offering casks made not only from American White Oak, but other hard woods as well. Combining age old tradition with modern technology means we can design, engineer and build virtually any type of vessel required.
